To be honest it was the rel q150 that sounded brutish. Whereas I thought it would be the quad that would be brutish, i was surprised by the subtelity of the bass. Anyway leaving it at the setting it was at I tested a music cd and lord of the rings against the rel q150e.
This was very nice as by using gloves means you do not get handprints on that lovely finish.Īt first I was very confused (to be honest I still am) as I am used to having the manual nobs on my rel q150 so seeing that the quad appears to be operated by a remote control was daunting. When I opened the box i found a paid of gloves. My first thoughts were the subwoofer will just be brutish and to lud for my room. When I saw the hugebox I was like what is this monstrosity. I paid £400 for my subwoofer (the same price i paid for the rel 4 years ago ). The current set up is denon 3802, pioneer 565 dvd player with a rel q150e subwoofer I'd check the Ydrivers, those postage stamp sized ICs.I'd be checking for one that's abnormally HOT.Here my initial impressions. I'd be doing one thing before re-replacing the Ysus. If the picture was BRIGHT, and it faded.what killed the already bright picture over a long period of time? The only one that controls brightness is the Zsus.
I doubt the Logic, X buffers, or Y drivers would cause a dark picture. The X buffers would create HALF a bad picture, or vertical bands in the picture. The logic board produces the ENTIRE picture - and you got picture.
I doubt the y driver board is bad.you would have horizontal bands if one of the Ydriver ICs were bad. Repaced zsus board still have problem i hear from ysus board a notice ticking and screen is pulsesating may be the board is bad or some other board is damage? than picture was fading in and out than all the way out. Than i look at it it stayed cleared except the ren lines in bottom right corner.
With new board the picture came in clear than few hrs my wife said it had red lines in right lower corner than turn off. Got a digital camera? How about a Cellphone that you can Email pictures to your computer with?Īnd then you don't have to type 1000 words to get your issue identified. I'll tell you what.a picture is worth a thousand words, and a picture of the TV MENU really really helps too. If you do have a picture, but it's GRAY.maybe loss of color, but that doesn't FADE OUT. If your WHOLE screen was GRAY.you may have lost the LOGIC board.
The Bolded part, we need to KEY in on that. I have to ASSUME that you do get a picture. I have to ASSUME the Power supply board is good. and now the screen is gray and some times you can see faint picture comes in and out. got picture back then the picture started to fade in and out than tv turn off. Repaced the ysus 6871qyh953a because blown fuse. You may only be seeing the "brightest" part of the picture, and that's why you see "Chunks" of picture moving around the screen. How about the picture on your TV set? Does it appear?ĭoes it look like a ton of speckles creating your picture, most of the picture is dark, and the speckles seem to bunch together providing you with CHUNKS of picture moving around on the TV screen? Ok.so your TV does Light up? That's your Ysus doing it's job. Those are VALID voltages.so your power supply is actually GOOD.
